OUR PURPOSE

Luke 6:47-49 reads, “Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”

When Christians view their Christianity as simply one of the many aspects of who they are, one of the rooms of the house they’re building, they miss what’s best and deepest. Our purpose is to encourage young Christian adults to establish lives built on the solid foundation of God’s Word so that every aspect of their being, every room of their house, is affected by it. The more we study the Bible, the more excited we are at its comprehensiveness, its cohesiveness, its power to change hearts, its relevance to everything in the world around us. We’ll offer reflections here, usually 2-3 a month, applying Scriptures to needs we’ve seen in the lives of young Christian adults or topics we’ve faced ourselves, hopefully spurring enthusiasm for the readers to apply God’s Word in their daily walk.

“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God”(Colossians 1:9-10). “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving”(Colossians 2:6-7).
